My PC was in room where is cold temperature, probably bellow zero celsius, and today when i first time turn it on, PSU was loud as tractor, until I shut it down and start it up again. Whats the problem?

I am sure I hear it from PSU, and I don't know now can under zero or low temperature damage parts, should I change PSU, why it was grinding at first startup.

Can someone help.

can be two simple issues. the first one is in cold temps metal and plastics shrink. with power supply vendors if the berring or the space of the fan to the rear of the power supply case is not a lot in cold temps the fan blade may have been able to tuch the power supply case. if it was not a blade issue then it may have been thick grease from the cold temps on the fan bearing. till the fan/power supply heated up and the lube thickend the fan may have sounded lound.

in real life the colder a room is the better it is for pc parts. pc parts run better on cold temps that why large server rooms use a/c to cool the rooms down. only part that under 0c will have an issue is led/lcd screen the fluid used in side the screens can freeze.

Oh, well thanks for the explanation.
I don't know really, my room was very cold, than I turn UPS, than PC, and imidiatelly I heard Wuuuuuuum, and this will not stop, it is like car motor when it is going 300km/h, just wuuum.
PC booted and everything, I use pc case, pull it out and imidiatelly heard its like fan on PSU is going 300km/h and making such noise.
Was scared, turned it off, and than just turn it back on, and everything was fine.
Do you think I should change my PSU?
