Collaboration Question?

I'm a writer who has attempted a couple interactive fiction in the
past but frequently got stopped by a lack of programming ability. I'm
wondering if there are any talented programmers who would like to
collaborate on a game with someone more interested in the writing/plot
aspects.

Since I'm not sure this is the appropriate forum to ask this question,
and apologize immediately and profusely if it isn't, let me ask if
there is already a website or place that would be ideal for this
quarry.

Thanks,
Mordy

P.S. Writing samples are available for any interested parties.

There is a page http://home.earthlink.net/~gomero/ifcollab.html I am not
sure how efficent it is, there seems to be some time since the last update.
Or you could ask on rec.arts.int-fiction, it is for discussing the making of
if games, this group is for discussing the playing of if games.

What sort of game are you interested in creating? I'm a skilled
programmer, but lack writing skill and ideas.

That's no problem. Here's a *real* problem: I'm an excellent writer
with lots of ideas, but I hate the process of writing and I'm generally
too lazy to finish anything. On the other hand, I love to code, even
though I'm a lousy hacker of a programmer. So I'll never finish
anything for someone else to code, and I'll never be able to code
anything someone else has written. 😉

Yes. I seem to be pursuing a life strategy of subotpimizing on all
frontiers. Participation in this group probably proves that point to
the Nth degree (or so my wife would think, I think).
