Hi I am trying to do a setup for a college student that will play bf4 on max settings. After long consideration I have opted to go the intel route with radeon graphics. This setup is based around utilization and more specifically real world application. Feel free to alter anything in this list aside from the case and the color setup. The colors will be red and black, so all components must fit into that scheme as that is what the customer and myself desire. Here is currently what we are looking at.
"Cooler master Cosmos SE Case (This was chosen for carrying handles and easy lock installation. The leds will be changed to red to match the case fans)
Cooler master sickle flow red led fans 4x 2 front intake 2 top exhaust
Cooler master jet flow 120mm exhaust fan red"- DO NOT ALTER THIS PART ALL PARTS MUST FIT IN THIS SETUP
The customer has:
1 stick of 8GB gskill x series ram which will be used.
2 500GB hard drives at 7200 rmp
A corsair cx750 psu
A LG DVD drive for the initial windows install
The processor we have decided on is the 4th gen haswell i5 4690k
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now up for debate:
Motherboard currently the client is caught between msi and asus.
right now we can get a 280x in either Asus or MSI for around 200 (He will want to match the brand of the motherboard)
so the question is 280x by Asus or MSI I have read that the MSI ones tend to have problems with their fans? is this true any personal experience?
here are the boards I found

The budget is around 100 - 150 at most and the customer may do mild overclocking the lower the price the better.
The CPU cooler we are looking at is the Cooler Master V8 GTS cpu cooler. This is both for aesthetics and due to all the current problems with all in one loops, and the fact that he has to move the computer on a 5hour drive every few months the all in ones seem incredibly risky. Any incite on this cooler? I have never used a heat sink in a higher end rig, so will this preform up to par with what is needed. Any other suggestions for other ways of cooling and transporting easily. He will need to take this to LAN parties, and he has had all in ones brake on him before and leak. I also have had these problems.
We are also adding a small ssd to run windows 8os only. Looking for decent reliability but a total cost around 60$ probably. so the question would be is 128GB enough, or too big for a fast boot? He has 1TB of storage already that will be added.
His main concern is that it runs BF4 on at good fps on the higher settings if not ultra, but the budget is tight. we opted for only 8GB on a single stick of RAM because the funds are not there. WE originally were going to go AMD for the processor but could not find a motherboard that he liked anywhere near his price range.
Any suggestions for the motherboard especially for one that will work well with the new series of cpus would be awesome. I know very little about intel, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Also any bundle or coupon deals is awesome every last dollar counts at this point.
