Hello, I am Johnathan and I am currently a college student who plans to become a game designer. I have also started to build my own PCs since 2013 and so far I have made 2 builds. Now I am interested in building another PC to use the new Ryzen 3600 CPU. Originally it was supposed to be an HTPC for the living room, but since the cabinet that we have is too small to fit any HTPC case to fit in, I decided to make it my new main PC for my room.

Approximate Purchase Date: July 15th/29th

Budget Range: <$1100 or <$1200

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Heavy 1080p gaming in max settings, game development, college work, surfing the internet, media playback.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
Amazon.com, Newegg, B&H, OutletPC

Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States

Parts Preferences: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and Vega 56 GPU

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: A window for the case would be nice and an HDD that is at least 3TB of storage. Also, a motherboard that supports USB flashback. Some of the games that I own currently are Warface, Warframe, Battlefield 3, Black Desert Online, Assassin's Creed, The Crew, Watch Dogs, and Steep.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My first build (GTX 750ti), while decent at the time, felt too weak to play any games with higher min specs.

Here are the list of parts for the current planned build:
