Color Scheme Affected by Background Change in Windows 8

While using Windows 8, if you try to change the background wallpaper, the default color scheme of the entire interface automatically changes and adjusts itself to the closest color of the background wallpaper. This is due to the automatic configuration of the color scheme that is set by default. In order to prevent the color scheme from automatically changing every time the background wallpaper changes, you must disable the automatic color scheme changing effect, and choose a standard and static color as per your choice from the available color options.

By following the steps given below, you will be able to disable the automatic configuration of the color scheme, and set a default color for your Windows 8/8.1 computer:

■Log on to Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer using your account.
■From the Start screen, click the Desktop tile.
■Once on the desktop window, right-click anywhere.
■From the displayed context menu, click Personalize.

■On the opened Color and Appearance window, click any color of your choice from the available options.
■After selecting the color, optionally you can move the Color intensity slider from left to right or right to left in order to increase or decrease the color intensity respectively.
■Optionally, you can also click the Show color mixer option, and move the available 3 sliders horizontally in order to prepare your own color combination as per your choice.

■Once this is done, click Save changes to permanently save the selected color.

10. Once you save the settings and the color is changed as configured, the color scheme would not automatically change when you change the desktop wallpaper.
11. If the problem persists, restart the computer and then try again.
