Monitor : AOC U2879vf

On start up, I initially get multicolored lines all across my screen In vertical pattern. I have tried using my PC and PS4 , that use different cables. The problem remains.

This always seems to happen when I turn my PC on and then my monitor. If I keep turning my monitor off and on. It reduces the issue. It does this by causing White lines to appear instead and it glitchs on my screen in some area's. Usually around apps on my desktop. If i keep Turning it and off. Eventually, it goes after about 10 attempts. Does anyone know how / or what the issue it.

If it is other white lines all over the place like I think the description you gave, then it reminds me of interference or hardware failure. If you try it in a different room and still issue happening then I would say it is a bad panel or hardware issue. Seems like a common problem when I googled the monitor and issue you said.

(this is when their is the white lines) This issues isnt just one continuous line going across the screen. The background is perfectly clear, however, it's like theirs an overlay that glitches. Arrond desktop folders, above, below and to the sides, there will be white veritcal lines glitching, on and off, the same around open programs.

So using the two different HDMIs on the PC have the same issue.

Is the issue happening with the PS4?

I see the monitor only has one HDMI port. Do you have another PC or know someone else that has one that you can try a different PC on the monitor? And can you try a different TV/monitor with your PC to help narrow down compatibility issues?

Hello sorry. I have a HDMI Cable for my PS4, I also have a another cable for my PC. The issues persists no matter what combination, or system I use. Its 100% monitor related. Ive had the monitor 2 years and this is the first time its every happened.
