Question Colored vertical lines showing up on monitor (Acer XG270HU)

Hey, recently got the Acer XG270HU around a month ago and until maybe a couple days back, it's been working like a dream. Recently, thin lines colored red, green, blue, etc have been showing up on the right half of my screen. Also occasionally a thicker vertical line shows at the middle of my screen. These lines seem to maybe show up after I've been playing games for a bit, but they've also shown up while just browsing through chrome so can't be too certain. I'm also pretty sure that this isn't a video card problem as I've unplugged the screen while the lines were appearing, and they continued to appear on the "not connected" black screen. Also since I got a new 2080S during Black Friday sales, don't think it would die that fast. I've heard stuff about that the lines are a byproduct of a change in refresh rates or something of the sort, but again I'm really out of my depth in this area. Recently, they've seem to be more common and stay for longer periods. Unplugging the DP cable and re-plugging it seems to fix it but it eventually returns again.

Here's some pictures I caught of the lines:

This one was taken after I unplugged the monitor from the PC:

I'm still under warranty, should I just replace or is there a fix for this that I can try?

Setup:
i7-9700K
RTX 2080S
Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard

TL;DR: Thin colored vertical lines showing up the right side of my display randomly then disappearing again.
Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I ended up just swapping out the monitor for a new one. I'm quite sure that it was the monitor itself that was causing the problems as this new one seems to be working without any problems. Thanks for the help though!

Underclock your monitor refresh rate from factory default to something lower
for e.g. if default is 60hz underclock it to 50hz.
It also helpful for faint vertical lines on cheap IPS displays
and will be greatly helpful in reducing eyestrain and improving image quality
from Nvidia custom resolution
