I was wondering what this is and if it is a virus. it doesnt have the *32 like some people say the virus has and the files say last it was modified was in 2009. is this safe?
The *32 thing means that application is running at 32 bit mode in a 64 bit OS.
So, if you don't see that *32 means that the application is already running at 64 bit mode.
Try scanning your PC with a good antivirus and see the results.

I scanned it with bit-defender and malwarebytes pro and it says nothing is wrong.
Im just wondering if dllhost.exe is a normal process to be running
also those problems other have as in high memory/ cpu usage and multiple isnt happening
Yes, it's a normal process. It's part of the Windows OS.
As for the high memory usage, it's a common thing found in all Windows OS after Vista.
thank you very much i just never really payed attention to it but i decided to look it up and saw scary things. but it didn't match what mine was doing. you have relieved a lot of stress, thanks again.
Glad to help. But get a 2nd antivirus and scan it again just to be safe, because many viruses name themselves 'dllhost'
which would you suggest? i used adwcleaner hitman pro malwarebytes and bit-defender and it found nothing. (i would like to know so i can be sure and im always looking for more ways to make my computer more secure
