.com vs. .co.uk

What's the deal with the intermingling of the American and UK forums? It seems I'm randomly shunted between them when entering subforums or threads, but that's really impractical because the discussions trackings appear to be separate. So when there are replies in the US forum, I don't see them if I've been kicked onto the UK site etc.

Is there some way I can avoid this little annoyance?

If you start of in the .co.uk forums then you always stay there (at least I have never been shunted to the .com forum). But it would certainly help if those parts of the .co.uk forums that are obviously broken were fixed; or just use the same software as the .com version.

Unfortunately because of my travels I frequently end up on the UK site, looks like all of Europe gets directed there. Although I manage to start out on the .com when reading/replying to threads I always end up with .co.uk when I am in Europe.

Hey I am new to online forums.

I started a new thread on Tomshardware and some how the post ended up on the UK website. Should I post again on the US site? if so how?
