Combat Damage

Hello.

I read that combat damage that is redirected by the "en-cor" creatures is
not considered "combat damage" after it is redirected to another creature.
Could someone explain why this is the case. Intuitively, it doesn't make
sense.

This is not the case. (At one time, a long long time ago, it was the case;
it has not been the case for quite some time.)

Well, you're in luck then, because the way it works these days, all that
changes is -where- the damage ends up being dealt to. It's still from the
same source (that has always been true) and, if it was combat damage before,
it will still be combat damage, just combat damage being dealt somewhere it
wasn't assigned to originally.

It was the case when Stronghold came out, but it was change the
1999-06-01. The combat damage is still combat damage after it is
redirected to another creature.
