combat flight sim question

Is this the proper forum to get info on MS CFS? I see where most
posts involve FS 2004, and others.
But I have a question re: CFSII (Pacific)
In case I'm in the right place, here it is:
In O'hare's Mission I intercept Japanese Betty bombers. The problem
is I can only down one, or maybe two before I'm shot down. I have
been approaching the Betty's almost head on, firing, than banking
left, throttle down to get above and slightly behind. But the
withering fire from the Bettys' guns are just too much. Is there any
other way or method I can succeed in this mission?
If this is the wrong forum, please advise.

Try this. Approach the enemy at a higher altitude and try
to keep you between the enemy and the sun. After they
pass under you reduce throttle and perform a split "S"
and approach the enemy from the rear and in their blind
spot. Good Luck
