I am thinking about getting a new hdd for my computer and I have found a Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSHD 1TB but I want to use the SSHD part of the build and I don't want to have to buy another SSD since I already have a WD Blue 3D NAND 250GB. Will the two different brands work together for the hybrid system.

Solution

Different brands, absolutely no problem.
I have 3 different 'brand' of SSD in my system...5 drives. Samsung, Sandisk, Kingston.

However....if you currently have an SSD for the OS and applications (hopefully that is what is on it?), the SSHD may be of little value vs a regular HDD.

What do you plan to put on this new drive?
I have three different brand and type of drives in my main gaming rig: a 2TB HDD Western Digital Black storage drive, a Seagate 750GB SSHD hybrid drive for my Steam and GOG games, and a Samsung 250GB SSD as my Windows drive. Feel free to mix and match any way you wish.
