Hi. I'm new to the world of building computers, but I need to run a lot of monte carlo calculations and am building a computer for this purpose.

I went with the intel i7 6700k (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012M8LXQW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for its performance and reviews. However I will need more than 4 cores but don't want to purchase the 8 core processor for 3x as much money.

My question: How can I use 2 i7 6700k processors together to get the use of 8 cores for computations? Thank you.

I am looking for the best multitasking CPU to improve the speeds of deterministic computations involving many iterations to find steady state solutions. I was just wondering if it is possible to cluster together 2 6700k cpu to get faster computation speed.

I think you fundamentally dont understand the difference between the two.
There needs to be a distinction made between sever grade Xeons (what you are describing) and ones oriented at consumers (IE Xeon 1231v3). The latter is a cut down i7 (exact same chip as a 4770) without an iGPU.
Neither are directly geared at a specific workload, that is exclusively server Xeons
