Question Combining 4GB RAM & 8GB RAM for Laptop

I am having HP 15-DA0327TU laptop with one 4GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM installed & second slot is free.

Can i add 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM in second slot? or only 4GB RAM will work in 2nd slot?

My laptop is having Windows 10 Home Edition OS.

According to your manual, yes you can. I would however ask you to buy the same stick of ram to enable dual channel mode and/or invest in a dual channel kit, preferably a 2x8GB kit since your laptop can support a max of 16GB's of ram.

You should theoretically be able to mix them as long as all other specs are the same. Personally I always prefer to get the same sticks for everything but that's not absolutely necessary.
