Question Combining a custom PC with a laptop?

I'm pretty new to the whole PC thing, but I built my own PC in 2018 (i5-5660k // ZOTAC 1080 GPU // ASUS HERO MOBO) and for my most recent deployment I took a brand new 17" alienware R4 with me. Just wondering if I'm able to combine these two PC's when I'm at home. As in sharing Processing and GPU loads to make my already powerful PC's even better? I'm assuming it's possible but is it simple/easy and low risk if it is possible? Both PC's run the same OS.

No, it isn't possible in a consumer sense.

Last time I hear people do that, it was Pixar rigging up multiple boxes for video animation, and I bet their machines were customs, usd$millions.
