Comcast/Motorola DVR box and Ethernet connection?

want to know where to find on the mother board ,the receiving chip or spider ,connection on the comcast motorola hd dvr dcx3400 model. i have it open n im searching but im clue less

You opened the Dvr box ? Why ?
The Lan chip can be from one of several chip makers , Intel , Marvell , Realtech and you would have to know which one Motorola used.
