I usually have no issues with comcast, since the nights when the internet is down are rather rare, but this is too far. It's a week without internet. If it's down any longer I'm going to expect some kind of a credit towards my account.

This is my ongoing experience with Comcast. Usually I love them but this time they've disappointed me.
 
It could possibly be comcasts dns servers. If you have a router you could try configuring it to Opendns.com dns service. Try it and see if it helps.
 
Wow. I don't remember editing my post...

Anyways, it wasn't the DNS server. The cable that runs down from the pole to my house was not only chewed up by a squirrel, the splitter also happened to have water in it.

Replaced it and my internet was back up to it's usual speediness. Glad the tech could actually do something (after telling him to check the signals, that is) but it would've been nice if they hadn't taken so long.
