Come on now....Focus!

Hi

Just taken delivery of a GNR 997PF (Pure Flat 19" 1600x1200@85) only set it up this morning before I whizzed of to work but when runnign it at 1600x1200@75Hz The text in windows explorer boxes tends to be a little bit blurry. Now I havent actually <b>used</b> a desktop in said resolution before but have seen them (and ok didnt pay too much attention) but the thing is, after fiddling with the various focus settings (H Focus, V-Focus & some other one) I have bettered the image but still finding it a bit blurry. I dont know if its my eyes are finding it hard to cope at that res (I have decent eye sight), that thats the norm for that reloution, I havent quite got the focus right (not sure what all these different focus options are) or the monitor is no good. :frown:

Try playing with your refresh rate. Setting it lower, or dropping your resolution a bit.

Tried both already, non seem to work. Have requested an RMA from eBuyer and ordered and Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 454. The review in THG said it was pretty good.

Am now on my 2nd Vision Master Pro 454 and lower right of screen is blurry (same as other one) cannot resolve. Iiyama said will replace again but Im getting p!ssed off now being my 3rd monitor in total now. Are there any software apps that can help you fine tune your image? other than the OSD on the monitor.?
