Command and Conquer: Generals Blue Screening

I use to play this game on my laptop many years back and decided to try it again. After installing it and trying to play it, it blue screened on my after the initial startup video. It gave me this error:

ialmrnt5 Display Driver Error.

I have updated all my video hardware. There are no question marks on my device manager so everything is installed. This laptop is an Inspiron 1200 and like I said before, it has ran it fine and I have been playing World of Warcraft for two years on it.

Any ideas on what it do about this? Just wanting something to play until I get my new PC built.

I use to have some MAJOR probles when running it with Vista, blue screen perhaps 1 out of 3 times I launched it.

7 years old, and it's the best non-canon C&C game ever.
Red Alert 3 and C&C 2 are looking a bit too damn cartoonish.

Are you running Vista?

I'm using Windows Vista Business 32-bit, and I'm getting the error message "Sorry, a serious error occurred." I installed the 1.08 patch and now the game loads the splash screen and then closes. No error. Can anyone help?
