This has only been an issue for this past week. I never noticed this prior to Sunday, and just started noticing this issue when I was trying to play games on Monday.

A random command prompt window keeps opening and closing within a second. It's closing too quick to read what it's actually doing, but I have been able to catch that it's something to do with the ProgramData folder. I'm not sure which folder in the ProgramData folder this command prompt keeps opening for since it's too quick to take screenshots or read what's going on within the command prompt window, but something in my ProgramData folder is doing this. It happens maybe every 10-15 minutes, but I have yet to sit here and time when the command prompt closes to when it is re-opened again.

I've ran 2 scans on my computer using MalwareBytes and Spybot, nothing comes up with these.

The only thing I could find by Googling is a thread talking about how it's related to Windows Updates, but the thread died after somebody said they don't have any updates and are still getting the popup. I also do not have any Windows Updates available.

Does anybody have any idea what this could be or how to stop it? It's starting to become annoying when playing games @ fullscreen because it minimizes my game.

I'm on Windows 10 Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.318)

Also, I read here that one of the recommended "temporary solutions for gamers" was to go to msconfig > Services Tab > Hide All Microsoft Services checked on > Disable All. I tried this and it didn't work, I'm still getting the Command Prompt to randomly flash on my screen and minimize my game.

I will be checking this thread all night and can provide more information if you need it. I will also post the solution if I find a fix.

why not see what time it appears and then look in event viewer and see what is happening at that time
search cortana for event viewer
in the left hand column, choose custom views/administrative events and see if you can identify it

can also run SFC /scannow in a command prompt with admin rights
it might find something.
