command prompts simulator

Hi there, im trying to prepare myself for comptia 802 exam, and would like to find a cmd simulator to both run the commands, and also help me when im not typing info correctly...Is there software out there..HELP..tyvm inadvance.

I would recommend getting VirtualBox and installing a Windows VM. You can save the baseline and nuke it back to that every time you make a mistake or want to start out fresh. It will also feel more like the "real world" as well. It wont really help you if you are typing info incorrectly but that is what the /? option is for. As long as you get the base command right, /? can help walk you through the rest much of the time... that or Google.

Your best way to do stuff like this is to run a Windows OS in a Virtual Machine. VirtualBox, for instance. Practice all you want.

This way, no matter how bad you hose it up, just revert back to an earlier snapshot of the 'drive'.

Thanks guys, b/c I'm really struggling with some of the prompts-my OS is giving me internal errors on some, while working fine on others....the error ones are making me think im doing something incorrectly-such as spacing............grrr Im so NEWB at this..and need to both know this stuff, and be able to skillfully apply it on the exam......
