I do apologize for this double post, but I need to know this ASAP. Are their any standard pci cards out there that support "command queuing”? If so which ones, where would I buy it and for how much? I do not want an enterprise card or a 64bit card, just a standard pci card. I do know that silicon image has two chipset that support it, but I cant find a pci card with them on it. They are the 3512 and the 3114. Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, only SATA-II supports command queuing, and I'm not aware of any SATA-II controllers being available.

In a magazine I read it mentioned the 74gb raptor including command queing, and since they benchmarked it there is something that runs it...

Anxiously awaiting yamhill....is it here yet?

sata-II natively supports it, but the 74GB raptor supports it as well, but you need a controller that supports it.

ok the 74GB raptor supports cu with a controller card. It is not sata-2 just standard sata. No one knows of a controller card that supports cu or has the silicon image chipset of 3512 or 3114?

wait till the 3rd quarter of this year. That is when Promise will come out with a PCI card solution.
