Because it's the best gaming CPU for now?Why the 10900k with a 3090?
At what resolution?
Unless you have unlimited funds, most of what you chose is overkill purely for gaming.
CPU: 10600K vs 10900k. In gaming is 5% more performance at best for almost 300% the price. The 10700k is also an option for 8 cores, but right now there is rarely the need.
GPU: RTX 3080 vs 3090. The 3090 is also probably only 10-15% more performance (not yet known) for over 200% the price.
MB: Asus Maximus Hero vs MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI. The MB will have no impact on performance and only makes sense for extreme OCing or for special interfaces.
RAM: 32GB vs 64GB. This will only make sense for editing/creation. 32GB is plenty for gaming.
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo vs ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro. You are basically paying 30% more just for the name. The Adata is the better drive and far cheaper.
PSU: Asus 850W Plat vs Corsair HX. No reason to go platinum but if you really want to the HX is equal and 20% cheaper.
Cooler: Corsair H150. Sure, if you want AiO go ahead. Personally I like the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 better but whatever.
Case: Corsair 680X. Looks good, but crazy expensive. If you want it, go ahead.
