comp problem

I know this doesn't have anything to do with CPU, but the Windows XP bearly gets anyone visiting it

I need help!! My computer was acting weird so i reinstall Windows XP Pro with the "repair function" after that i installed all the updates and guess what? u know the start bar at the bottem of the screen and if u open a program the programs appears in the bottem as well so u can access it (come on u know what i'm talking about!!!!) it disappeared!! the quick launch bar and language bar is still there but the one i mentioned above isn't!! i need it back!!!

problem two
it seem when i want to start a new mail or click on some link in a website, my computer will reboot all of a sudden and it only happens when i start a new mail etc. any help would be great!!!

Your crashing problems might be related to the missing task bar. An unhappy windows install can do all sorts of weird things. Have you tried restoring to an even earlier restore point?

i reinstalled and my taskbar will only disappear if i install SP1?? should i just leave SP1 and wait for SP2 or it there a solution to this??
