I started up my computer and after the Windows XP logo loading screen, I got a blue screen. It said unbootable_mount_drive or something like that. Why did this happen? I have had LOTS of problems with my Dell and I plan to build my new PC.

Dimension 3000
2 GB RAM
80 GB IDE Seagate Barracuda HD

Please help! My mom's about to kill me! lol

My friends said that this is caused by the mobo?

Probably a bad hard drive. You need to check what brand of hard drive you have, then get a copy of their disk diagnostics on a floppy, boot to that and do a diagnostic on your hard drive.

Unmountable Boot Volume means that your boot.ini files are corrupted. I just fixed a laptop with the same error. You need a windows disk to enter the recovery console to rebuild your boot.ini. If you can get a windows disk I can walk you through the process.
