Hi,

I want to build a compact 4k gaming rig for not a lot of money.
My components:
i7 6700k / i5 6600k
(2x) GTX 1070
16 gb RAM

But there's one problem: I want to buy my parts on www.afuture.nl (Dutch), but there are only mini/micro boards who are optimized for 2 way CrossfireX. Will Nvidia SLI work on those mobo's?

Read my post. On that website there are pretty much only CrossFireX optimized boards, does that support SLI too?

I don't know what case I'm getting, have some suggestions?

vrossfire does not support sli, but there are motherboards that support sli too. and yes ir ead your post.

i need a bit more information from you in order to help you further

''I don't know what case I'm getting, have some suggestions?''

whats your budget, how compact does it need to be? do you need handle cuz youre going to travel alot? or does it need to be a cube?

Crossfire and sli are completely different, and you want to make sure the SLI board has 16x lanes for BOTH the PCI-Ex16 slots, not just the first one.

And in regards to your compact 4k dual sli rig for not a lot of money. First of all "compact" and "not a lot of money" are very subjective terms so we need specifics. Secondly, what you are asking for is a unicorn traveling over the rainbow to the leprechauns pot of gold. You cant have high end and inexpensive, and you cant have compact and dual graphics cards; those are both very big oxymoron's there.

I want to swap out the dual 1070's for dual 290x/390x (lower cost, I know it kicks off more heat and draws more power.)
I've read a post that 390x Crossfire beats the 980ti at 4k. is this true? if so, should I go for 290x or 390x at 4k?
Or can I go with a 380x crossfire at 4k?
Or for 500 euros, should I go with 1 GPU?
