My laptop came with a 4gb ram stick with the timings 11-11-F3. However when I tried to buy the same stick(same company too), they sent me the same version except it's timings are 11-12-F3. Will this effect my computer much? Is it worth it to go through the hassle of sending it back and waiting for the correct ram to arrive?

Solution

If the speed, size and voltage is correct then i'd say you can stick with it. Try installing the memory and see if it works. Then you can decide on the RMA. If it works then going through RMA isn't necessary. There isn't much difference between them.

tRCD (Clock cycles between row activate and reads/writes) is slightly lower than what was advertised but it should work. Good luck.
