Recently I was feeling kind of nostalgic and dug out my first laptop. I noticed that it kept on giving me this message that the battery was beyond its life span or something so I ordered a new one, unrelated but it was only like 16 dollars so why not. I installed Linux Mint MATE onto it and between then and now I booted it up a couple times without fail. The last time I used it was yesterday and I had shut it off, unplugged the charger, and removed the battery. Today I just got the battery so I popped it in and turned it on. I heard the HDD spin up and the power button lit up but the screen didn't light up. Currently, I can hear the fan spinning, the power button is lit up and so is the caps lock. I press the caps lock but it doesn't turn off. What do I do?
