Compaq CQ61 WiFi and HD Light Stay On After Pwr Down

After Power Down the orange WiFi & HD Lights Stay on my Compaq CQ61. Will run the battery down. Have changed battery. Didn't notice when this started. Everything else works fine.

Is the laptop plugged in as well when this happens? If so, the power supply/charger cord could be part of the problem.

If it isn't, I would be looking at the motherboard.
