Compaq Deskpro En (No Display)

Hello Friends.I am a new user to this site and also just graduated from school as and IT tech. I got this Compaq Deskpro En which when power green led comes on but no display. So it gives these beeps 1short,1short,1short and 3short beeps. what does this then mean as i felt it was memory and replace the memory (RAM) with a working one but it does not gives beeps any more but still does not display. The machine has been down for about 3months without any body using it and there is alot of dirt and dust stack inside so do i try cleaning the motherboard.pls do help me.

You need to give the model number and whatever specs you have. Has any part of the system overheated recently? I changed out my compaq motherboard recently without any problems, except I had to use a dell dvd to reinstall windows. I have a leftover hp motherboard if interested. It works with core2 duo cpus, such as the e4500 and e7200.
