there are A LOT of c700 models. U can choose your model to see if U can find the sound driver for your xp. (some have only vista support)
But, most c700 have conexant hd (U should check your sound card first) , if so U can get the driver for xp from here:

As for finding a C700 model with XP support on the HP / Compaq website good luck. I randomly chose around 10 from the list from top to bottom and they all ONLY list Vista drivers.
