Question Compaq Presario not turning on

So I got this desktop from my uncle so I could fix it. I'm using it as a test subject to learn more about fixing computers(tho it might be nice to make it work as my own pc).
When I turn it on it does the following things:
The only thing that can be felt functioning is the hard drive
I found it's only ram has two broken and burnt pins
Has no display
And doesn't turn on the fan

That being said, would it turn on the fan if I found a good ram for it? Or does it mean it has another problem besides the ram ?

Well....being the pins are burnt and broken.....I would be concerned about the socket. If the socket is bad....I think you would need a new MB.

Only one socket has burn marks, but i think it should work on the other sockets.
It has 4 ram sockets. First 2 say DIMMA1 and DIMMA2. The other 2 say DIMMB1 and DIMMB2. In colors blue, black, blue, black in that order. The burnt socket is the DIMMA1. And the ram wasnt there, it was on the DIMMB1. And where the burn mark is doesnt match the burnt pins of the ram
