Comparing these ASUS monitors

I'm looking for a monitor to connect to my Alienware m17x R3 and I came across the following ASUS models that are identical in price. I want to know which monitor you think is best and if these are both decent monitors. I'll be doing some heavy gaming on the setup. The horizontal and vertical refresh rates seem a bit low? Definitly wanting to get away from any ghosting.

They both seem very similar in specs. Read thru some of the review to see if there are any complaints. Otherwise choose whichever design looks better to you. The 1st monitor does not have speakers, but monitor speakers sux anyway.

Am I going to get black bars or other problems if I try to play games in 1920x1080 or do I have to play them in 1920x1200? Are games supposed to be played in 1920x1080?

Games can be played in any resolution.

Some things are drawn bigger or smaller depending on the game.

You are not going to get black bars if you play games at 1920 x 1080 because that is the native resolution of the monitors you selected.

You will not be able to play games at 1920 x 1200 because that exceeds the native (maximum) resolution of the monitors.
