Comparing these two laptops for GIS studies.

Hello, I'm studying Geoinformatics in college and i will be mainly using ArcGIS and ENVI So i'll need a somewhat powerful laptop that is also durable.

After comparing all the specs and prices for the different products in here, i've ended up with these two laptops, and i can't decide on which one to buy.

Both laptops are very similar, with the only difference being the GPU.

So, can anyone help me make up my mind?

The 920M is the (slightly) stronger card. Both are very weak.

ArcGIS doesn't really rely on the graphics card too much, but ENVI does make use of it depending on what you are doing. For processing, both lean heavily on the CPU.

The more important thing for both software packages is:
1) RAM. They gobble this up. 8 GB should be your minimum.
2) Fast storage. SSD preferable.
3) Fast single-core CPU speed (especially ArcGIS - not multi-threaded well).
