Compatability of AMD and Nvidia

I want to buy AMD FX-8350 CPU with Nvidia GTX660 Ti but I'm not sure if it will lower my performance because some say AMD CPU will run better with AMD GPU and Intel CPU will run better with Nvidia GPU. Is that right or wrong ?

While it is technically true that Nvidia GPU's were designed for Intel and ATI for AMD, you can mix and match, just make sure the GPU is around the same performance so it will not bottleneck the CPU.

That is a hoax created by fanboys. The 660ti wont suffer any negative effects from running with an Amd CPU.

Toms actually proved that AMD CPUs actually worked better with nvidia GPUs in high end sli con figs, where as AMD GPUS were more reliant on CPU performance and got higher performance with Intel CPUs...
