Compatability

I replaced a PC with a Mac and can't copy files to my external hard drive(Seagate). How do I make my external and my Mac compatible?

If the drive is ntfs file system the mac can read it but not write to it here are some solutions http://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/apple/mac-os-x/threads/34524
You could always re format the drive with the mac.
