compatable with biostar M7VIG-Pro?

Any suggestions for a reasonably priced, decent scanner for a Biostar M7VIG-Pro mainboard (with usb 2.0). I haven't tried hooking anything up via usb on this board yet. I am concerned I might run into comaptability issues...such as I've had with boards with via chipsets and usb ver. 1.1 (usb printers and cams weren't recognized). Does anyone know if Cannon or Hp brands work via usb on this board?

Epson makes great scanners and I haven't heard of any compatability problem here. You may consider <A HREF="http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/ProductCategory.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0772774131.1051852959@@@@&BV_EngineID=gadchdkiemjgbfdmcfjgckidnf.0&oid=-8172" target="_new">Perfection 1660</A> which has a max resolution of 1600x3200dpi and supports USB2.0.
