8GadgetPack is no longer available. This app was removed from your PC because it doesn't work on this version of windows.

Trouble is, it wasn't removed, it works fine, when I remove and reinstall it, it still works (2 weather gadgets and a clock).

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, I just tried version 24 out in a virtual machine and it worked without any compatibility messages (Windows 1803). The author has released version 26 which suppose to fix some gadgets with Windows 10 1803. Have you tried it?

I just recently switched from 8GadgetPack to Rainmeter myself. 8GadgetPack (or more specifically, 2 gadgets) were causing CPU spikes up to 20% on my PC. I found very similiar or equal gadgets for Rainmeter that are working great. You might want to consider switching. I seen a really nice weather gadget for Rainmeter here: https://vclouds.deviantart.com/art/VClouds-Weather-2-179058977
I'm using a simplier one found here: https://silverazide.deviantart.com/art/Gadgets-4-0-0-522574269

You could disable the Program Compatibility Assistant. Keep in mind that if you do this, you may run into other incompatible programs which can cause system instability or worse.

Thank you very much for the detailed response.

Disabling the Program Compatibility Asst. didn't work.

I completely removed 8GadgetPack and when I rebooted, the "this app was removed" notification wasn't there. So I reinstalled version 26 of 8GadgetPack and for some reason, it brought up the four gadgets that were previously on.

If it still brings up the same notification when I reboot, I'll try the Rainmeter program instead, new to me. Thanks.

When you uninstall 8GadgetPack, it only uninstalls the software, not the gadgets you have installed. That's why they showed up once again after the re-install.

Rainmeter skins (gadgets) can be a bit more advanced than the sidebar gadgets but you can also find simpler "sidebar gadget" looking skins that work great too. Here's some pics of Rainmeter skins: https://www.google.com/search?q=rainmeter+skins&source=lnms&tbm=isch

I really don't know why PCA would be showing up. I guess Microsoft is trying to do everything they can to annoy you about the sidebar and get you to quit using it. Sorry disabling PCA didn't work, I was hoping it would.
