Hello everyone,
I have an Asus P8H67M-LE motherboard with an i3 2100 processor, and it works fine. Both of them are 2nd generation. The fact is I need a little bit more calculation power and a friend of mine is offering to exchange my processor for this i5 3470 3rd generation processor. The thing is that I would like to be sure if the motherboard will support this 3rd generation processor without damaging itself or the processor. I went into the Asus official web site and they didn't reply my question. Then, this firend says if I upgrade the BIOS to the last version there is no problem and the whole thing will work ok as well.
Any recommendation, or suggestion?
Thanks in advance,
ASMNOW
