compatibility check on GT 710

Well basically my budget is $50 and these are the best cards i can find. Also will it play fallout 4 even just past the launcher.... lol

It will run fallout 4 as long as you lower down the settings.
And here some word of advice from linus.

i would think it wouldn't be a nice experience playing with that card.

the min specs for fallout 4 are an I5 + GTX550ti or AMD7870. Both those cards would wipe the floor with a gt710.
if you get the card, don't be surprised that the game doesn't run as you like, even if it does get past the launcher :)

saving an extra couple of quid over a few months, and getting something like a GTX950, which has low power requirements, and decent gaming performance would be a much better choice, than to stutter along with a gt710 and having a crap gaming experience.

Now id normally agree with you but my current card is going out........ and i need a replacement soon.... and my maximum budget is 50. And while both cards are not great they are both better then the current card and i CAN afford them.
Like i said i agree with waiting but id rather not have a useless computer while i wait for the replacement card to sustain until i can get a way better upgrade. My eventual plan is to get either an r9 380 4gb or a high end gtx :)
but like i said im on a very tight budget 🙁

EDIT: (thank you guys so far for the quick responses though :) )

just a quick note, i only saw your reference to an R9380 or high end GTX afterwards. With your CPU you may have some bottlenecking on CPU dependant games. Your CPU isn't a bad one, it 2 cores/4 threads at 3.3ghz. This will be okay for a lot of games, but more demanding titles, will require a little more grunt to get the most out of your higher end GPU. Just a thought for your next upgrade! :)

lol yes i knew that would be a problem but whats better a cpu thats maxed out or a gpu thats maxed out?
as in should i get the cpu first or the gpu oooorrrrr save up for both at the same time?

:) That the conundrum alright. The I3 is okay for now if your just going with the low end card. You could always get the higher end GPU first. You will most certainly see a huge leap in performance. And once you find the I3 isn't cutting it , then the CPU upgrade.

The GPU being maxed out is ideally what you want. But the I3 will prob be maxed out before any high end GPU gets there first. thats your bottleneck.

good luck
