I bought this kit about a week ago, and stupidly did not check the manufacturer qvl list. It does not show as compatible with the motherboard I am planning on buying. Honestly it's not even listed as compatible with Ryzen CPUs, only intel.
This is the kit:

I am looking to get either a ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero or the Dark Hero if I can find it in stock in the next couple of weeks. (EDIT: I am also starting to rethink these choices and might look for a more mid tier board)
Should I just return it and pick up the Neo kit if I find it in stock?

Does it really matter? Will I notice the difference? Can I get a cheaper variant?
I do a lot of video and animation work as well as gaming.
