Question Compatibility confusion

Im planning on buying a 10100f and using some of my old ram sticks however i was stopped short since on the ram section on the intel page for said cpu it said it supported 2666 is this the single frequency it supports or is that its max frequency

That's just the maximum officially supported freq. Enabling XMP in the bios allows higher memory frequencies
