Hi Guys............my name's Karan.I wanted to ask a question......that whether my motherboard supports ddr3 ram or not......
My mobo:
http://www.zotac.com/products/mainboards/amd-cpu/zotac-geforce-6100/product/zotac-geforce-6100/detail/geforce-6100-value-2/sort/starttime/order/DESC/amount/10.html

In the Downloads Section before answering check on these
1.GeForce 6100 Value (256.38 kb) (Downloads/Download Brochure)

Thnx........

2.ZOTAC GeForce 6100 Value (DDR3) tested CPU & memory list (In Downloads/Bios )

no it supports DDR2

EDIT: so the description says that it supports DDR3-1333mhz and in the specification it says DDR2 very confusing but i read somewhere else that it does indeed support DDR3 but only 1333mhz

No that board supports DDR2

DDR2 and DDR3 are not compatible nor interchangeable.

aside from electrical differences (voltage, signal timing etc) the SO-DIMM modules should be keyed differently, additionally I think DDR2 SO-DIMMs are 200 pin whereas DDR3 are 240 pin, they shouldn't fit in same slots.

Did you guys downloaded the file "ZOTAC GeForce 6100 Value (DDR3) tested CPU & memory list (In Downloads/Bios )"
Inside that Txt file is cpu and memory support list ............also has some written size DDRIII type
AENEON ............please check again
and the pdf file says
Memory Compatibility:
DDR3-1333
2x240 pin DIMM slots
Up to 8 Gb ram

yes it does support DDR3 like i said only 1333mhz and max size is 4gb
