on win xp if i add a sata drive to my primary ide drive (with the coupler) will it work

if you mean changing your new harddrive that has sata to ide interface via a coupler sure. but you will need to go into the bios and make sure the primary harddrive set as the 1st device.

yup, it will work.
if you do get a black screen with text saying there is no operating system found.
then go into bios and change the boot priority so your primary drive is in the 2nd slot (underneath cd/dvd drive) then your other harddrive can go into the 3rd slot

can i have more than two drive ...a third one or a cd-dvd ...but where to find the wire

sorry, i assumed your current configuration was 1 harddrive (adding another harddrive) and a cd/dvd drive. or you currently dont have a internal cd drive?

but i can t put two hard drive and a cd-dvd there s no wire for it the wire i found has only two out 2 hard drive can t add a cd-dvd

ohh, i see. you will need another ide ribbon cable (looks like the one thats attached to your cd drive and harddrive), another ide header on your motherboard and at least 1 more 4 pin molex power; if you wanted more drives (ie: harddrive and optical drive).
