Question Compatibility (messing with xmp settings)

I recently started messing with settings in the bios on my Asrock x370 Taichi Am4 board. I have it paired with a Ryzen 9 3900x and G.Skill Trident Z neo rgb 32gb 3600mhz RAM. When I set the speed to 3200mhz I get stutters and game crashes with the occasional OS crash. So I started digging into manuals and specs to see where these settings should be before messing with any voltage settings or anything like that. It's kind of odd though When I try to select my RAM on the bios dropdown menu it only shows corsair vengeance 3200 ram so I just left that setting to auto since that's not what is installed in the pc. In the x370 manual it's showing dual rank in a2 and b2 2400-2667. In the Ryzen 9 3900x specs it says double rank 2 dimms ddr4-3200.

So am I right in thinking my motherboard is limited to 2667 mhz with my current setup and if I were to upgrade my motherboard my cpu would limit my speeds to 3200?
