Compatibility of Asus strix R9 380x with lcd monitor

Hi,
My config is

I5 6500
Msi H170 gaming m3 6th gen
Ram: Team elite u-dimm ddr4 8 gb
Psu: corsair vs 550w
Gpu: asus strix r9 380x
250gb hdd

I have a lcd monitor with 1280X720. My question is can I play games atleast in 720p?

What do you mean by that? A 380x can easily handle 1080p gaming, 720p is a breeze. One thing that isnt good in your build is the power supply, the VS 550w is a poor quality power supply, and the 380x is a guzzler. Yes it will be compatible with the monitor.

For $44 you would get something slightly better than what you have, spend a bit more and get a high quality component.

Yes you'll be able to play in 720P. That monitor supports 1280 x 720

Your monitor is a 1280x720 monitor. You can support max of 1280x720. You can lower it for resolutions like 1024x768 but you cant increase it for 1920x1080
