Compatibility of mobo to processor

Hey everyone, I've been getting some mixed information when I look up the available processor upgrades for my Dell Dimension E510. I am currently using a pentium 4 but I have seen several people say they have been able to successfully upgrade to a Pen D. I noticed that this wasn't an option on some descriptions of the mobo. If anyone knows off the cuff then I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks!

That board uses the Intel 945G Express chipset which supports the following processors: http://ark.intel.com/products/27720#@compatibility.
Your system only officially supports the Pentium 4 5xx and 6xx cpus, but could possible be encouraged to work with any of the other listed in the link. Try flashing the BIOS to the latest available: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/dimension-5150x/drivers
