[SOLVED] Compatibility of MSI Optix G242 with Acer Helios 300 G3-572 over HDMI for 144 Hz ?

Hi All,
Hope everyone is doing good.

I wanted to know if the MSI Optix G242 will provide full 144hz over the HDMI connection with Acer Helios 300 G3-572( i5- 7th gen Version, GTX 1060). I will be using it mainly for CS: GO , Valorant, GTA V.

If not , let me know any other suggestions( Better if you can suggest it based on Amazon India / Flipkart or other sellers in India).

For a laptop of that era, I doubt you're going to get anything above 60Hz off that HDMI port. If you're looking for suggestions on a display that will work at 144Hz, as stated prior the limitation is your HDMI port and hardware, not the monito or it's bundled cable.

Just to add some more information, I tried connecting the laptop to a old 75Hz monitor disabling intel optimus all together, and was getting 270+ fps on CSGO and 200+ on Valorant and the laptop has a HDMI 2.0 port.
Let me know if your statement is still true.

The Intel HD graphics will support up to 120 Hz at 1080p over HDMI. The GTX 1060 will support up to 240 Hz, but in many cases laptops' HDMI outputs are restricted by the capabilities of the integrated graphics.
