Hi, this is my PC configuration:
> Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2
> PSU: 500W
> Processor: AMD FX-4100
> RAM: 4GB (1600 MHz)
> PCIe Slots: At least 1 PCIe 2.0 Slot
> BIOS Mode: Legacy BIOS (NOT UEFI)
> Operating System: Windows 10

I'm planning to buy a GTX 710 or 1030 or 1050 based on the replies to this question.
I've read on the Internet that GTX 1000 series cards require UEFI BIOS.
I also read on some of the threads here on TomsHardware that this motherboard does not support UEFI.
Some users are not getting output on their monitor when they use GTX 1050 with this motherboard.

I think it supports UEFI because I've seen the option to boot from EFI-enabled devices.
However, whenever I try to boot from UEFI Bootable USB, PC gets stuck on "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." screen. I don't have a DVD Drive.

What I don't get is am I supposed run the OS in UEFI mode or only the motherboard has to support UEFI and I can use the graphics card in Legacy BIOS mode?

So if I buy and install one of the above mentioned cards, will it work?
Also, will the above metioned processor bottleneck the graphics card?

@camieabz,
Thanks for your help.

It's more of a matter of compatibility with the motherboard than the choice of graphics card. My heart's already set on 1050.

The question is whether it can run on Legacy BIOS.
Again, I appreciate your help.

Okay so, I finally got Windows 10 to install in UEFI mode.

Bootable UEFI-enabled USB didn't work so I bought a new DVD Drive, made a bootable disc and booted it after changing the boot mode to UEFI from BIOS settings.

Looks like the actual question has been rendered moot.
