Hello,

I want to buy this shellshocker deal from newegg (so i need a fast answer!):

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

Memory is F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

I want to know if it will be compatible with my motherboard :
ASUS P7H55-M PRO
Running with Core i5-760 (LGA 1156)

I did check the official compatibility list from asus website and the memory is not here. However, a similar 2GB version by G.SKILL is compatible.... Which makes me think this list may be outdated (there is almost no 4GB ram stick supported, only 2x2GB and such)

How can i be 100% sure that F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL will be compatible with P7H55-M PRO ??

thanks a lot !!

If it's not in the list, it's hard to be 100% sure if it works though it will most likely work without any problems

I have a 8GB Kingston HyperX on a similar board and works perfectly fine even though I don't think it's on the list

You should be able to mix 1333mhz ram with 1600mhz , however both ram will run at 1333mhz

Hmmm i see... Not sure if it's worth the risk :/

Is there a big difference between 1333 and 1600 ? Should i throw away my 1333 to replace it with 1600 ?

edit: just saw werner's post, i think it answer my question

Well since i'm already using a Kingston 4GB and you said i should use the same brand, i think i'll buy that instead:

Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 XMP Dual Channel Memory Kit

Can you confirm me that it should be compatible with the hardware i listed ?

thanks!
